This Environmental Policy has been defined by the Senior Management of Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services (LTLGS) and represents the Company’s statement of intent regarding its ethos towards the environment.

The Policy shall be communicated to all employees within the Company and to persons working on behalf of the organisation, such that everyone understands the importance of protecting the environment and of always working to eliminate any impact that its operations could have on the environment. The Policy is also available to the public.

The Company will operate an environmental management system based on continual examination of its processes, and thereby eliminating any real and potential environmental impact.

The Company will comply with, and aim to exceed, all relevant statutory legislation such as Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), formally known as Pollution Prevention and Control (England and Wales) Regulations 2000. The Company will review legislative requirements, guidance notes, codes of practice and recommendations from relevant sources in order to update its environmental management programmes.

The Environmental Management System (EMS) shall use a system of management reviews and internal audits precipitating change and corrective action where required.

Continual improvement programmes will be developed utilising multi-disciplinary teams, employee feedback and the commitment of resources by management. These programmes will set targets for improvement and regularly review progress.

The Company’s products, processes and operations will be continually examined to ensure the prevention of pollution. Environmental documentation, together with the Management Manual shall form part of the Company’s Safety, Health & Environment processes / procedures available on IQ MOVE, from the Company Intranet, IQ Move.
